- Clarification re Local Boards (Apr. 1, 2009): The Accessibility Directorate has clairifed the responsibilities for compliance of municipal local boards with the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service regulation.
- Online Accessible Customer Service Training Course (Dec. 16, 2008): The Accessibility Directorate of Ontario has released an online training course, Serve-Ability, explaining how to provide accessible customer service.
- Accessible Customer Service Compliance Manual Released (Nov. 22, 2008): The Minister of Community & Social Services has released the long-awaited compliance manual for the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service regulation.
- Municipalities Starting to Post Policies (Oct. 28, 2008): Municipalities are beginning to adopt policies to comply withe the Accesible Customer Service Standards and are contributing these examples for posting on our website.
- Compliance Readiness Survey Completed (Oct. 2, 2008): AMCTO recently conducted a survery of Ontario municipalities to find out where they stand in being ready to comply with the Accessible Customer Service Standards.
